Internet Censorship Causes The MTNL Website to be HackedInternet Censorship Causes The MTNL Website to be Hacked For 6 Hours on 6th June 2012 Wednesday. The corporate website of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is hacked by the hacking group to protest against the censorship of internet. Cesorship of internet is just like a suppression of information viewed on the internet.

However the individual city websites are working (like Delhi and Mumbai). However, the senior company officer deny the news of hacking the MTNL website. But according to the Anonymous blogs, the company had blocked several file sharing websites.

A post on the Anonymous Operation India web page claimed responsibility for the hacking saying “we are against Internet Censorship.The MTNL  Deputy – GM of Delhi, Mr. Deepak Sharma  said that it is not a hacking but the denial of service in which the server is unavailable to provide services to the customer.
