Free Wi-Fi In London During Olympics Now, The internet users in London can enjoy the free internet service during the Olympics games. A deal between the west minister city Council and UK’s leading network provider O2 will make WiFi service available to all the internet users free of cost with the download speed upto 24/Mbits/s. However it also does’nt matter which provider they are using currently.
The service is going to be available in the central London’s West End. The network will initially cover Oxford Street, Regent Street, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Parliament Square. Other areas will be covered eventually, with Covent Garden next. Internet users will get the free service by filling a single registration form.
It is expected that by the end of July 80 London stations will have the Wi-fi access but this service is free only during the Olympics games and other Paralympic games.
The London Mayer Johnson said that with the millions of extra people coming to the town for the games we want to ensure that we showcase the capital as the best city in the world to work and visit.
He also said that the addition of free Wifi during Olympics to the most popular areas helps us to maintain the reputation.
